кто это сказал? Видно вы не застали то время, когда в инете выкладывали видео с 10 км дорогой, по которой сталкер катился на машине около получаса.
потом если прочесть внимательно то, что на вики, то там речь идёт о 4 кв.км. т.е. 2х2 км.
теоретически у движка ограничение нет (даже скорей ограничение в компилятора). можно хоть 100 на 100 км. сделать. угробив на это всего 2 полигона. А можено и в 100 на 100 метров вбухать 10 лимонов поликов и тут он загнёться.
